Need some input from you experienced FJ100 guys. We have a 1998 LC with 270k miles. Rig still runs well and will bro keep it until 300k or so. For the last year... maybe longer I've noticed more body roll when driving. We live in a mtn area so there are a lot of winding roads etc.. A year and half ago I replaced the Bilstein HD shocks with the same, but the rear springs and torsion bars are original. Gotta think after all these miles the rear springs are fatigued as well as the torsion bars. But can there be another cause for the body roll... sway bars. I'm not all that familiar with the suspension other than the springs and torsion bars and will appreciate suggestions for a fix.
Replace rear springs with OME 2865 and adjust stock torsion bars?
Replace both the rear springs and torsion bars (303001)?
Look for another cause (sway bars)?
Vehicle get used primarily on paved road and desert dirt roads, lotta snow in the winter.
Many Thanks -
