need an aftermarket heater recommendation

so i have this middle eastern spec 45 - which obviously lacks a heater...but i'll be needing one - preferably with the blower motor inside the cab - as i don't want to cut into the firewall [which i assume the models with the blower under the hood would have to do]....

does anyone have any single units that they re happy with?

wouldn't you need to make a path for the antifreeze hoses? I understand that these would be much smaller than the hole needed for the blower, but would still have to be added.

true - but ill just be expanding the holes for the a/c hoses slightly...not nearly as severe...

oh ya - i dont really want to resort to an electric heater - as i dont want to put the strain on the electrical system - as well - i need something that i can hook up to the winsheild defrost...

i was looking at that one as well - only there aren't any ports for the defroster...without which...will mean a lots of manual wipage of the glass...not much fun...

Personally I would rather a stock heater and a new hole in the firewall, than a makeshift set up.
Primarily because the stock heater/blower and ducting fits, looks right, and requires minimum stuffing around- and it works pretty well too.

My BJ42 came to me with the entire heater and blower and ducting and coolant lines removed. The hole in the firewall was simply patched and didn't look too bad at all.
I am not sure I get your concern about the hole in the firewall-
do you just not want to hurt your baby, or are you worried about re-sale or something?

anyway, here is what mine looked like when it came to me, patched.

and after sourcing all the parts, the heater install. Love it. Defrost works a treat too.

only the fan is electrical - its heated via coolant...which is just perfect.
