Looking to get rid of my old lady's '05 Cheep Liberty & pick up a late model 4Runner for everyday driving duty. She'd loves to drive my 80 series, but we don't need another bus that gets 10 mpg around town. I'm more concerned about how it handles on the occasional snowy/icy midwest road in winter than it does on trails.
One of the things I've noticed is that the 2011 models with 30-40K miles are selling for about the same, & in some cases more than equally used and equipped 2012 & 2013's around here. Is there some major mechanical or other difference that makes the 2011 model more desirable? Any other particular models, options, or flaws I should be on the lookout for?
Any knowledge or advice is appreciated.
