Do yourself a big favor and look hard at White Knuckle sliders.
Bolt on, kick-out is an option, great quality and good price.
Really nice folks, and they are in CA.

An added bonus of the WK sliders is that the giant mounting bolts wrap around the whole frame instead of just bolting onto the outer face of the frame like the JW sliders. I am no engineer, but it seems like this is a stronger mount design if you plan on coming down on the sliders hard.

Are they pretty flush with the gx or did you have to trim the stock running board?

On mine (White Knuckle), the bottom of both front and rear fenders gets trimmed, more for aesthetic reasons than anything else. The stock running boards need to be removed completely for any slider install.
I believe all or most sliders are mounted this way, with the fenders cut.

All-Pro Apex 5th gen 4Runner sliders can be a pretty good buy (with free shipping from Summit Racing usually), but do require drilling and rivnutting 7-8 holes on both frame rails. So they aren't quite a bolt on, but were $200-300 cheaper than 470 sliders when I got mine. Still loving them 2 years later.

I have white knuckle, I’m happy. Install was not too bad. I have yet to hit one, but I’m confident in them.

Reviving this old thread because I need help finding sliders in stock for pickup anywhere in NorCal or the Central Valley. BAMF is 10 weeks out, White Knuckle is 4 weeks out. Any other locals I should check? Any sources for used? I suppose I could call a few of the larger salvage yards?

Thanks for your input!
