Any of you guys know a company that will ship a truck that does not run for a reasonable price. I need to get my lil bros 40 down here from PA in time for his birthday/wheeling... We had a shipper but he flaked and fell thru....

Anyhelp would be cool..

thanks,
-Al

yeah, Im not sure he has a penis. He likes 40s much more...

I know a few that have used DAT (Dependable Auto Transport). They seem to be one of the larger companies, have the most trucks out available for schedule. Just don't expect your 40 to arrive in the same condition it left.

Just called them they dont ship no running autos:frown:

Movecars.com is the place we got the orginal shipper they said the date that they would pick it up. Then they said that they would not make the date that they were trying to get the a driver over there. Then they told me the drivers can pick up what cars they want and no one wants to pick up an no moving car. But they will keep working on it....

at that point i felt like reaching my hand thru the phone and killing the guy.

COSMOS is the shipping company...they are fawking horrible.

I later called back and said I need another truck shipped from PA to Fl and that it was non-runnning. They told me no problem and it would be picked up shortly, So then I let them know who I was and asked What kind of fxxxing game they were playing? since they said they would pick up another non-running vehichle shortly.

We have since found a new shipper and are crossing our fingers in fear of being screwed agian.

These people are super nice and honest. http://www.kiwiskarriers.com/

Every other vehicle shipping company I've had contact with is a piece of s***. They lie. They're rude. They don't do what they say they'll do. Kiwis is good people.

Thanks man, they will be my next stop.

I've used A-AAAAuto transport a few times. Be aware, most if not all of these trips are brokered. The guy you're talking to on the phone is not the guy who's picking it up. Go back to movecars and pick another vendor. Be specific about your time needs and non running satus. Try calling a truck broker in your area.

Shipping running 40 from Reno to Alabama

Hello all!

Lowtide: My apologies for the hijack!!

I read through the whole thread and had similiar troubles with most all listed as everyone else did.

I was wondering if anyone has had any new experience with other shipping companies who could get the task done?

Also, does anyone know if the shipping companies have any problems with the cruiser being packed full of parts? Additonally, I need a crated FF axle to be brought along as well.... Does anyone know if this might pose a problem?

ANY info and advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

-Josh

No prob. for the hi-jack....the truck is here.

the shipper we ended up getting wasnt that great anyway so...I reallly dont have a good one to tell ya. I do know that most shippers do have a problem with other things being in the truck. We built a plywood top over the bed so that the shipper could not see in and shipped a few things that way....

good luck brotha...

Glad to see you got the cruiser ok. For anyone reading this, Kiwis are great. Shipped 2 cruisers with them. Were really careful & great to deal with.
