So here it goes again.. the bolt on version still requires cutting part of the cross member. So it is not a true bolt on solution.

It is TRUE BOLT ON if you do not get the trailer hitch...only reason you cut for it is to make room for 2" receiver hitch.

here are a couple shots from my high clearance...with swings open and then closed. Only took about 15 minutes to cut the cross member...grind it smooth...hit it with primer. Hardest part was convincing myself to start cutting... Excuse the dirty bumper....heading out to go to Uwharrie camping and offroading...LOL

Here's a question.... Where do you get the lugs for the spare on the tire carrier?

Edit: Mike supplies them.

The high clearance bumper looks really good from the back. I love the look of the sides but maybe in the future mike will get more interest in the high clearance look if he had sides that were squared off with the body lines. Brock, you are making me want that high clearance model...

Very true... Thanks for clarifying for the others. I should have done that.

It is funny, looking at the high clearance model when I was in Moab... the back looked SO MUCH higher than the bolt on version than mine. I later figured out that we had different rear springs, they were running 35's, etc. But it did look good from the back. In all honesty, if I could have gotten the high clearance model with the square sides of the bolt on version instead of the Tube sides, I would have. We even talked a little about doing a hybrid between the two (one of the best things about working with Mike). I seem to remmeber Mike not thinking there was enough clearances in the high clearance model to do that but I could be wrong. In the end, I still liked the bolt on version and decided to just keep it as is. I was running close on time and needed it installed before heading to CM11. I would love to see a hybrid like that though!

I'd be interested in the bolt on with spare, ladder and jerrycan holder, with hitch, all powder coated.

I would also potentially be interested in adding sliders and winch bumper if the 10% discount would apply to that too? (sorry if that is against the rules here?)

I would also be interested in knowing if it would be possible to add the light mounts inside the rear or front bumpers as was done in the photo of the GMC truck on the bumpitoffroad website http://bumpitoffroad.com/bumpers.html

Finally, on shipment I would prefer Houston area (77094 zip) but if savings were significant could add in to the Little Rock group (72211 zip) as I have a house in LR and some family so go there several times a year anyway. Maybe we could have an install party?

Sorry for the complicated post.

I would take up the additional items discount with mike

However the bumper "mods" or changes you want are possible as long as you ask him the price for that

But there are people in your area who are ordering the rear bumper so maybe you can share a pallet

If we get to 5 on the bolt on, I want to switch to the low profile one :) sorry for being a flip flopper.

Well maybe there is hope for 5 people in on the high clearance model. This is still the one I'd prefer for my rig... I'm about to the point where I was considering just placing my order on my own because I thought everyone else was going with the bolt on. I'm not really sure how many people are interested in the high clearance now? If someone else is interested in the high clearance model please post up so the list can be updated...

saillaw- I had 4" round fog light holes added to my front bumper when I ordered my bumper from Mike. The holes were cut to fit PIAA 510 series fog lights. Mike told me this was the biggest size that can be fit into the actual face of the bumper. I've seen others add the square rigid LED fog lights as well (some with two square sets which are 2"). I also had holes drilled on each side of the winch access port for mounting other driving lights. Give Mike a call or email him your ideas. He will get back with you and can likely accommodate you requests.

I will post a picture of my front bumper with fog lights installed when I get a minute.

Well with me, petrotk40 and you we have 3 people! There is no doubt that they will get 5 for the bolt on bumper and I'm sure we can get 5 for this high clearance one also, lets let more people respond, we're only about two days into the group buy list:)

I thought I remembered there being a high clearance bumper with the receiver sticking out so the pin was accessible on the outside. Was that a BIOR or 4x4labs?

You bunch of traders! :D

I said I'd only switch if we get 5 for the bolt on;)

I blame brock for posting those awesome pics, thanks brock, we hate you for changing our minds:hillbilly:

I think that was a 4x4 labs, assembled by GinericLC so it was a kit

ok, I guess I really don't tow much so it's probably best as is. Defeats the purpose of the high clearance if the receiver is sticking out.

I dont think it will be too much of a pain to reach down and put the hitch lock behind the bumper. The hitch will be located further up so you wont have to bend too far down:hillbilly:

The only issue now is places to attach the chains, I will weld mine on myself or come up with something 'bolt on' that I can easily remove when I am not towing so I dont see hideous hooks

Have you checked with Mike? I would think he already has a solution for that....
