Need a new Tranny!!!!

Woow, one quick call to Erik and wammo I need a new transmission. Anybody out there have a sm420 and adaptor plate. I seem to have gotten my hands on a rare Marlin t-case. I still am not sure what I have but it sounds cool!!!!!

Ah, it ain't all bad. He talked me out of buying another Optima for the 40, given the fact I only wheel it a handful of times each year. Probably saved me $60 (or 2 bottles of gin, depending on how you look at it).

Lars.. Got to thinking.. if you wanna keep your 3spd tranny in your truck then it's a direct bolt up.. I'm sorry I get to always thinking about 4spd or 420 etc and forget about the old school 3spd transmissions that were offered. Your original 3spd is 10 spline and if you pull your tcase off it will be a direct swap for the one you have in your hands.
So you have options now and options are good.

Oh and you definately have a rare tcase. Quite the interesting phone call.. It's all you fault when you call for tech and get a history lesson at the same time..

I have an extra 3 speed tranny with no top plate if you want it for spare parts...

Yep I was over at Eriks last night and he was telling me about it... Cool find on t-case...
