Need a FZJ80 Brake Booster ASAP

Finally got to swaping master cyl in the 80, still no pedal and i can hear a sucking / hissing noise near the booster when the brakes are mashed and released. So I am almost certain I need a booster for our fzj.



If you have one let me know otherwise I will be hitting the classifieds here or local places on Saturday or Sunday, maybe Monday at the latest. PM me with a # to call you and Ill get right back to you, really hoping to get this done ASAP.

I just picked one up from Case parts in Marion. They had 3 others to take off as well. I paid $175 for the booster and MC, but they won't sell the just the booster.

Thanks for the heads up, looks like a guy up in NC hs one as well. Ill see what I can work out. Just tired of messing with BRAKES!!! That and only having my pickup for a family of 6.

So you had a booster go out at 50,000, what happened dry rot?

Im not 100% sure, rear brakes went too long and dropped a pad int he rear and ate up a caliper and rotors. I replaced all that over a week ago and was still having issues, thought I killed the master while bleeding like i have heard so much in the 80 forum. (guess that wasnt it.) So maybe it was dry rot and 20K miles in the last 2 yrs, compared to 30K the first 15 of its life?? I just hope the booster is it, got one on the way now, thanks for the heads up. If it isnt then I might have to take it to a shop, but from all I could tell it was the booster or the MC or both, who knows.
