Anyone have one? My Amazon one can’t hold it and I’m afraid I’ll break something. It’s a 4.7l ‘04 4runner. Halfway through a timing belt change. :bang:
happy new year btw!

Taking the bolt out? Put a breaker bar on it, put the end.of the breaker bar on a floor jack, bump starter.

Affirmative. What about torquing back down?

Do you have an appropriate torque wrench?

yessir, the touch start method worked like a charm

Not sure about a 4runner, but on mine you can put a deep-well impact socket on one of the flexplate bolts, which gets wedged up against the bellhousing, then torque down the pulley.

If you have the tools, it also isn't hard to make a holder out of scrap. You could borrow the one I made but I'm not sure if the bolt pattern on the pulley would line up between a land cruiser and a 4runner.

@emoto did you get it? If you need one I could build you a tool like @WCBlueSky built.

Man, thanks for that offer. I broke down and ordered the tool. Hopefully someone else can use it around here.
