Needed to remove the rear wiper to re-align the wiper arm since it was going below the window frame and scratching the paint. Something the PO did. Got this little puller at Graingers. Listed as a battery cable remover.

I use the same thing. It's the cat's a**!

Patent? It looks kinda like any other puller but with a plastic cap. No? :)

Looks like the tapered cap bears on rollers at the top of each arm to adjust jaw width.

Cap adjusts via large threads, while plunger travels via small threads.

Different enough to grant a utility patent. Better? Who knows...

Amazon search.... "puller 2 jaw." I dunno, I think they'll all get the job done. It's marketed as a Battery puller and wiper puller. But I get it, it doesn't pull like no other puller can but rather secures the jaws in a unique manner. Cheers.

Main thing is the thin jaws that allow the "fingers" to get under the wiper base on the rear wiper without scratching the paint. I have other pullers but they were all too thick to get a grip.

looks very similar to a battery post puller for top post batteries
