Local guy with Northwest Bank, was referred to him by someone in my office and then several other people I know had used him. Even the closing attorney we selected that our daughter and son in law know has his mortgage with him. Locked in over a month ago and not going to watch rates as if they go lower, no worries!

The refi has now triggered an interest by the wife and youngest daughter to do a lot of home improvement projects....painting, new carpet, floors, fixtures, etc. Fortunately the daughter is going to do most of the painting as her hours have been cut significantly at her job. Also talk of her moving home and finishing her Sr. year at Clemson commuting the 45 min 2-3 days a week she expects to go to campus.

Finally pulled the trigger. Got locked in at 2.25% for a 15yr fixed after buying two points. Worth it.

Awesome! It wasn't worth it to us to buy any points as we will very likely not be in our house more than 3-5 more years we think.....
