The pieces have definitely been used, but how did previous owner hook up starter with back side splash plate still fully intact (knock-out for starter not removed???). BTW, if you ever empty your mail box I'll buy the stuff for the 250 bucks- - -just saying

It was one of those “push start” models…

That's not an issue, it's just the way the aluminum flowed into the mold, two molten flows merged.
