How do I turn the navigation off on my 2008 LC? I want the audio on the display not the navigation. Thanks

I have the same question. You can press the Audio. But it will go back the map view when you tuen the ignition off and on. Also when you on the audio screen and use the bluetooth phone, when you hang up, it goes to the map view...

I've had the same problem. I do not think there is a way to make it go and stay on Audio.

The closest thing you can do is to navigate to the Song/Select subcategory and it should stay like that, but the second you go back to the Audio screen it will go to the map after a few seconds.

They must have changed this in '13 as I do not have this problem.

not sure if you can do it on the earlier models, but on my 2013 you can do a split screen, half audio, half map. Not sure if that would interest you?!?!

On my '13, there is an "auto" switch, or something like that that you can turn off so it stays on the screen you want. I can't remember exactly off the top of my head, but I can check later on. It's a setting in one of the setup menus. Mine always stays on Audio, unless I'm actually using the Nav. It took me a while to figure this out, but it's there.

Go into settings - not sure which menu it is under, maybe "display settings" and uncheck the box that says something like "automatically revert back to nav" .. This box, if unchecked, will leave it on whatever screen you change it to. Default is checked to revert to Nav from any screen

@ZOMBIECRU1S3R is right. Sure enough, I also found the menu! Woohoo. Thanks man!

@ntsaint , did you see this? ^

It actually worked for me. No more default map screen.

I still can't figure this thing out? I followed the directions above but it's still switching back to the Nav.

@CSteppe82 click Info > Screen Setting > top item on menu is "Automatic transition ..." > click off

Toyota upgraded the nav / operating system in 2011 or 2013, not sure .. That method *should* be good in 2011 or prior I think.

My 2010 LX defaults to either the Map or Settings or the Phone page depending on what I had last. It's really damn annoying and I've been meaning to post the question.

Go back to the settings area, change the settings and hit "save".

Did that, but the "save" button was not highlighted and wouldn't "save".

Shut the truck off & tried over again - same result. I must need the secret handshake.

EDIT: Tried again and the "save" light lit up -selected & shut truck off, restarted and
now it works.

THX
