What would you recommend as the best GPS system in the world (the GARWIN GPS SYSTEM) that would have to be mounted to the inside of the windshield or somewhere else in the SUV (they come in water proof and others that are very rugged and one comes with a 7" screen OR do you gents recommend I spend the big money and get the Double Din Navigation/stereo system installed in a 2000 land cruiser. I would really appreciate which way is the correct way to go on this very expensive choice. ALSO this navigation will be used for OUTSIDE of our USA borders. I have no experience with either except for the research on the GARWIN and they seem like amazing systems (but they are portable and i DO NOT need that capability) I want whatever I choose to work perfect wherever outside of the USA I am and that is all I ask. THANK YOU VERY MUCH GUYS/GALS, I always appreciate and love the help from the experts!!!!! ALSO for you guys/gals that say for me to go with the IN-Dash system, if you have the time would you please recommend who in the industry is "known" to produce the best products in regard to the Navigation in your dash stereo. Maybe the top 2-3 companies or if you really have a lot of time the exact model and then I can have a stroke as I see the price it costs to run one of those. BUT if you men & women say it is better than the portable GARWIN that i will go with what you experts say. THANKS

What is a Garwin? Kenwood uses Garmin if you want to have that system and have an in-dash. The Kenwoods with the micro SD solt used to allow uploading of Topo as an alternate map sources as well.

As far as outside of the USA, I would probably suggest you just go with a tablet. Gives you complete flexibility. RAM makes mounts that will hold most devices.

You might want to be more specific about "outside the USA". Different companies excel at say, European maps, but lag in Central American maps, etc. Do you consider Canada as "outside the USA"?
