Well I just could't stand my factory stereo any longer... Tomorrow have scheduled some upgrades that I'm pretty excited about... Getting the Pioneer AVICD2 installed, all new Kicker midranges to replace factory speakers, adding the XM Satelite option, IPod option. I already have another DVD player in the center console so I will be able to watch the same DVD's that play on the headrest monitors on the dash now if I like. I want to add a small sub but am unsure about where to put one. I really don't want a big speaker box... I was thinking maybe one 8 or 10" woofer... If anyone has pictures of other sub installs please post a couple so I can get some ideas. I originally wanted to replace the factory sub and put another in the same location (behind the rear quarter panel) but the installer I spoke with didn't think there would be room for one 10... I wasn't planning on adding the backup camera either but I tow my boat all the time and it looks like a pretty cool option afterall... Anyone really glad you got the backup camera put in??? Oh and a few other goodies are on the way in the mail.... new Husky liners all around on the way and new waterproof GT seat covers... I've only had this truck for a month and it just keeps getting better... I've got problems...

Backup camera is a nice to have, and makes backing up to the boat trailer a bit of a kick. It's far from a necessity, but I have to admit I like it.

You seem like our kind of nutjob. Go for it...

hbsurfer -- thanks for the link... I'm sure there will be a little learning curve with te new unit...

I searched some old posts and saw a wiring harness that is available to bypass the factory amp... I'm trying to determine if I should get this... You would think the install shop would know about this harness... Anyway I am getting most of this stuff installed free but they wanted like $50 to do the wiring it takes to bypass the factory amp since connections need to be run between the new deck and old factory amp. If I don't need to pay this or it is better to use the harness then I'd like to tell them before install begins later today.

jgray, how are you doing? I have a 99 TLC and it has some lil trinkets in it. I have the Pioneer Avic 80 (Nav) with the Pioneer Avh P6400 (in dash flip up monitor). I also have an iPod, XM radio, PS2, rear fold down monitor and back up camera hooked up. For speakers, I have MB Quartz all around and 4x 10" dvc subs fiberglassed into the rear panels under the very back windows. I still needed space to haul my travel crap, guns and snowboard. Therefore, I couldn't be bothered with a big sub box. I will try to find install pics for you. Any ?'s feel free to ask and I will do my best to help you out. Have a good one.

ddnuts-- i checked your post... man you really have put some miles on that thing... any way you could post a picture of your sub enclosure??? you have 4 10" woofers in the back? I'm looking more at like 1 10" which should give me plenty of low end. My brother did just give me a free brand new pair of rockford fosgate 10" Z series woofers but I'm not sure i will use them. I have decided to make my own enclosure... just looking for some ideas and i want to try to match my tan interior and use as little space as i can. Also, where did you get the A-Style stuff?

Update on intall: Major power outage prevented anything from getting done last night... re-scheduled for this afternoon...

I have seen the back up camera option for the tundra, also I have seen other after market, but nothing really got my attention as standing out. Which one where you going to use?
