Hey guys,

Do you keep your Nav display on all the time? I only use mine on long trips. I keep it off at all other times thinking it will last longer and hopefully prolong the dreaded 04 MFD issue...if that's in my deck of cards?

Speaking of the mfd issue...is that supposed to be 100% failure rate on 04's or is it a certain serial number range?

Just curious.

Mine is off unless I need the map.

Don't know the answer to that question. My MFD failed within 6 months of purchasing it (used) and replaced under the extended warranty.

I have an '02. 200K miles and it has never been off.

The MFD on my 04 LC went in 2010, it was a $900 Toyota repair.

The Nav is certainly better than leaving up your "info" which constantly reminds you what lousy mileage you are getting.

Assuming that you purchased your LC from the dealer with an extended warranty? Not that Toyota was extending the warraties for everyone for some time period for the MFDs.

Yes I did. The MFD issue was the only reason I bought the Toyota extended warranty...made me look like a smart man.
