Geez, I'm looking around my area here in SoCal and all the forest roads and trails I inquired about are closed for the entire winter season. Even though we hardly got any rain...

I guess the idea ostensibly is that they don't want wet trails damaged by Yahoos. That's good.

I hope it's not just an easy excuse to keep vehicles out for half the year, though...

What about your National Forests? same thing?

The Apalachicola and Ocala forest over here are beening systematically shut down. we have been trying to work with the locals but not really getting anywhere. atleast your closing is "just for winter" .....what can you do.
