Got a 2007 LC with 160k on it, believe belts were done by PO at 125k. Runs great, got the transmission clunk fixed thanks to y'all on the forum.

Now have mysterious noise ONLY on first startup in AM-- lasts 60sec, doesn't go up or down with throttle,
steady drone/buzz then cuts off immediately. Rest of day, fine. Drives fine.

Searched posts, wondering if pulley, ABS pump, or something else is ready to go. Any takers???

Do a search for secondary air injection system. I don't hear this on my '03, but it may not have come with it. It's used at start up for pollution control in other vehicles - not sure if the 07 LC has it or not.

This. Its the air pump running. Only on cold starts, I believe to get the cats up to temps quickly for emissions. I think they started on 03+ LC with the vvti engines. But I could be wrong.
 
Climberoleg, sounds like you describe in the other thread. Ordered the bypass, hopefully I'll plug it in before any failure occurs.
