24 hours from now I will be driving down the road to the meeting point for our local Naches Man Trip. Pictures are coming as the event happens.

Did the front brakes last night, wow. More on that later.

Wish me God's speed and His care.

Looking forward to the pics ! A bunch of our group(seattlecruiserheads) are headed up there this week-end as well, have fun and be safe !!

Sweet, a bunch of us are headed over the Wagon Trail next weekend.

Good Luck and be safe!

Ryan

Hi All:

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but I believe that the west-side of the Naches Wagon Trail doesn't open to wheeled traffic until July 15th.

Regards,

Alan

yes, that is ...

possible. The part of the trails we are running is in the open and some os the guys ran it last weekend.

Actually we don't go until next weekend! I am thankful of that as I have to replace my exhaust and wire up my CB this weekend.

Anyone want to help me bend up my exhaust? :) I wonder if those cheap Harbor Freight benders would work... My neighbor has one. I already have his welder.. LOL

Hijack over :hillbilly:

Have fun and let us know how the trails are! And watch out for all those jeeps that are going to be there this weekend too.

Home again ...

I am very sure that I learned more about myself this last weekend than my fj40-1/69. I suppose that's how it is when you loose that virgin sense of wanting to go on a 4x4 trip and then having been on a very significant 4x4 trip. I broke my power steering pully on day 1, but after that everything was ok. My brakes did not work like I wanted them to work, but we got by.

The views were very spectatular. The heart stopping thrills of being +- 25 degrees in tough spots was, well, exciting afterwards.

I got over checking my pants for pee, since there was confusion right afterwards over whether or not I actually pee'd them.

Here are a few pics from my camera, the team will assemble all the pics on one CD and I will post more later.

Yes, I did nearly role the vehicle on the way to Ardvark Hill. Guys has to stand on the uphill side to keep it down. No actual damage, except pride.

We got the carborator adjusted by day 2 and no stalls after that. It did restart good, so that was a very big plus.

I learned how to use 2 feet to run 3 pedals even on a steep slope to restart the engine. Wow.

Sounds like you had a blast. Our group is heading there on Friday. I might not make it, though. My engine has developed a sound that could be a bearing or rod end :(

Hi All:

Glad you had a good time on the run, "FJ Hunter!"

Fun to run the rig with no top and the windshield down, no? :D

I've done that run a few times in the past, but don't remember an "Adavark Hill."

Regards,

Alan
