Mystery fuel leak found

1998 LC ...5days ago I had a raw gas smell inside the truck after starting it.
Could not find leak due to fancy engine cover in the way.Started engine again and no more raw gas smell drove it another 150 miles and all was good.

Today I found it....it appears to be the fuel damper it was leaking from the very top
What appears to be a phillips head in the middle is where it was leaking (what is that phillips head screw for?

Anyone experience this?

I'm experiencing this. Also a 1998 LC. I've not looked into it yet, but will check it tomorrow. I removed the fancy engine cover

Never experienced.

Don't buy from this site (parts.toyota.com) as it's full price. Great site to find part numbers.

leaking diaphragm. A new damper should be cheap. The screw moves up when there's pressure on it.
I wouldn't drive it while it's leaking.
