Hi Gang,

Searched online, parts pdf, and all the FSMs downloaded from FAQ (via word search).

I can't figure out what this tank mounted on driver's side engine firewall (below wiper motor I think) is. see the arrow with text box.

Initially thought it was for rear windshield wiper fluid, but the owners manual indicates that the windshield and rear share the same reservoir up by the radiator.

This is from a lexus forum, while I have the '04 LC.

Any insight?

You're kidding right? AHC fluid reservoir.

You have an 04 LC? I didn't realize they had AHC as an option. I thought AHC wasn't introduced on LCs till 06?

You say mounted on driver side but your picture is pointing to AHC unit on passenger side.

Maybe it is a right hand drive model (ie, Australia?).

I thought of that but looking at the location they have listed in their profile I didn't think that was feasible, but who knows! But that could explain AHC in an 04 and right hand drive I suppose.

Thanks guys.

Luckily I did not put washer fluid in since I don't have the tank as in no AHC (did I say '04 LC, guess it could have been an option though).

I was just curious if my beast was missing something important. Something was in that space, but since I bought it used I have no idea what it could have been.

Ignorance is bliss:bang:
