Mysterious Dash Light (1 Viewer)

Just noticed this mysterious dash light. My headlights aren’t on and there’s no other thing im seeing light up. It’s just in the corner on my kzj78.

Any ideas what the hell this is? Im too stupid to see what it’s for.

I think you will need to take the instrument cluster out and see. Definitely not normal

Looks like a light socket got loose and fell out of the back of the cluster.

So I went to investigate further short of having to remove my entire dash to get to it. It’s a little bulb sitting just behind the O/D off indicator. Issue is it isn’t the light for that, and has a separate bulb that turns it on and is working fine.

It’s on too short of a wire to reach behind the dashboard as an actual dash light (all my dash lights are working) and it also is near the mirror adjustment switch but that isn’t backlit.

I’m either gonna tear this whole dash out to basically remove that bulb or I don’t know what but it’s right behind the metal part of the dash that won’t come off too easy to reach so I’m pretty SOL.

May just ride out with it. Lol

If it is a light that just recently came on, it could be a light for the indicator section for the air filter needing to be changed or checked.

dont be so dramatic, it takes less than 3 mins to remove the guage cluster and see what it is.
