My wheel tire misadventure / Im gonna need help

It’s def the offset causing more rubbing, I had 265/70/17s, no rubbing on anything but fender liner, with a more oem offset. If you’re gonna go chopping (which I am in favor of) you might as well get a bigger tire!

Niiiiiiiice, I'm ok with welding. Hopefully if I cut the body frame mount the spacers will work but I seriously doubt it. Usually I'm too conservative but this time I decided to go all out and it didn't work out

Looks like you are rubbing the pinch weld. Pull the wheels and tires off and grab a hammer and beat the snot out of the pinch welds until flat.
Agree with ztodd377, but would append using just any hammer with using a big 'ol baby sledge hammer. Basically a short handle sledge hammer.
You will need to put some weight behind each blow. A basic claw or ball peen will not do it, nor will a dead blow.
Also agree with the BMC (body mount chop). Also a heat gun for the fender liner if you're getting a little rubbing up there.

I have a good hand sledge. Also got a bmc weld in plate via Amazon. Gonna chop and post pics this wekend!
Post some pics when done! 👍

I Def will,
I'm hoping this is all I need to do. Barely scrubs when turning the wheel going forward but really feel it going in reverse. Next step is some bilstein 5100s. I'm going to throw new brakes on the front this weekend when I'm in there beating the pinch weld and doing the BMC.

Ok I pulled off the wheels, threw some new brakes on, did the pinch weld flattening and then did the body mount chop. Pretty easy really. The hardest part was cutting the body mount. I bought some 2" cutting disc's for my air grinder but I didn't have the correct chuck to use them. I jacklegged it with an angle grinder and Sawzall. I only have one side done so not sure if it still scrubs or not.

Before spray paint. I want to buy some thin plastic sheets and cut them appropriately to clean up my crazy fender cutting.

Here it is with the wheel at full turn. Looks like it might work? Maybe should have cut it a little farther back

Also I always unhook the battery when welding on motorcycles. I've never done a car. When I hooked the battery back up the car was acting all weird and wouldn't start. I was scared I was suppossed to pull breakers or something and fried the car. After about 10 minutes she was back to normal.

Definitely need to disconnect the battery when welding on cars too.

The GX, or at least the 460, does some kind of reboot/reset thing when you reconnect the battery. It always makes me think something has gone terribly wrong but you have to let it go through it's reset for a couple minutes, then start again and it should be back to normal.

To see if it works try going into a steep driveway with the wheel locked.
Finished the other side. Took her out driving around the backyard. I stillrub when going backward down a hill at full turn. I heard it and jumped out. Seems like it's hitting my passenger side front fender right where my windshield washer reservoir is mounted. Not sure how to fix that

There's info on here to relocate the washer reservoir.
