Did you have that at GMP this past weekend? I wanted to bring my Honcho but it is tore down being rebuilt from a trip to the beech earlier this year. Why didn't I see that thing up on 14?

I did have it at GMP. I didn't really get to mess with it that much. I drove it around the camp site for a few minutes but there wasn't anything to crawl on, and it was cold. So beer and camp fire sounded better. I wish I had known you had a Honcho, maybe next time we can get a little scale run in. I'd love to do 14 with the SCX-10! Maybe in the spring when there is less leaves. I have the entire rig torn into pieces, waiting on new axles, and 2sp trans.

Finally a build thread of a JEEP i want to read !!!
Nick I've been searching for days for a 60 series body after seeing that thing at the invitational... If i can find one of those, hell, theres my reason to spend all my food money on these RCs trying to compete with you :D
Give me a call when y'all are going out to wheel these things in competitions at stone mountain.

How bout a shot of that Light Bar? Another of your creations?

And yeah, 14 in the spring would be great. That will give me some time to get it back together.

I want a Wraith too, but we will see how that plays out.

I'll snap some tomorrow. It was in fact a creation of mine. I bought a light bar, and changed a few things on it. I was about to buy a Wraith. But a very very rare 70 Series came up for sale on RCCA. I snatched it up after talking with the OP and I have started my build thread.

Yeah, I saw your 70 series thread. I am interested to see how that thing comes together.

Not sure how I will end up on the Honcho. I need a new motor and I am thinking of dropping in a 27T for a little more speed. That with a 2 spd might do that and let me keep the low end.

I also have an original Bruiser that I am trying to finish up too.

Gotta love the fact that you can spend almost as much on a scaler as a 1:1...:hillbilly:

Edit: Not sure if I should thank you or cuss you, but I am back on the RC kick now. Been on RC4WD for several hours tonight looking for parts...

looks like fun!

Just fyi, once that goat toasts, get rid of the novak crap. I had the same speed controller and one of their ballistic brushless 18.5 motors. The motor was nice, the speed controller screwed up twice.

Buy a castle speed controller and be much more happy. I went with the mamba max pro because it is so versatile. I've loved it.

Sadly I want it to toast. I wish I had gone with the MMP :(. The current system is incredibly smooth at low speed, wheel spin Is pretty good. The downside is it's completely proprietary

I used their ballistic brushless motor with the MMP and it was a great combo!! The MMP can run any size of battery from 1s up to 6s i think. Also, it's easy to tune and it's super smooth.

It will toast soon enough, don't worry :)

It sure toasted my wallet! Which MMP ESC did you run? I'd love a little more wheel spin. I'm on the 21.5T and am trying to find a slightly used 18.5T to drop in.

i just got the castle mamba max pro. except i got the 1cell version.... which is confusing. it just means it does not have a built in BEC and no fan so it's just a little lighter. You are running an external BEC anyways, and it doesn't really get hot so no need for the fan.

I've ran 3S through it with no pause inbetween, between crawling and full throttle driving it didn't get warm. The moter was warm, but that's a given after 5 hours of constant driving.

Few pictures from Chicago and Colorado Springs.

Oh no, i wasn't knocking your stuff! I'm just saying planning for the future :)

Get a nice ESC like the MMP and forget about it!

I can't wait for this thing to burn out. I ran it hard in the snow trying to break the Novak ESC! When the time comes, it's MMP all the way

My KOH buggy in the works

Why is there not a build thread on this?!? What axles are those? Custom chassis?

Nick are you on rccrawler board?
