I've decided to build up my 1995 80 series as I want to get back on the trails and need to shuttle tools and materials to Florida.

It will be another 4" lifted truck on 35" tires.

I did some research and was looking for a budget tire. I don't think the truck will see anything more than moderate trails so I really didn't want to spend a whole lot of cash on tires.

I ended up having town fair tire match an online site for 5 Kumho Road Venture Mud tires in a radial 315/75R16 for a total of $1083.76. That is 216.75ea

I've read a few comments by 80 owners who have these and they seem up to the task of what I want.

Attached is a PDF of the paperwork I supplied to TFT if anyone is interested.

Be interesting to see how they hold up on the trail. I have had kumho tires for street cars in the past and they were descent. Not the best in wet conditions. How does the compound of the tire feel? Hard, soft, etc.

I get the tires tomorrow. I'll post pics and let you know

Bought OME J springs and shocks from IPOR and just got pickup notification from FedEx on my Ksiser ft and rr lockers

Got some work ahead of me.

Nice. Those OPOR sliders look stout at a great price.

picked up the Kaiser lockers today and ordered the master rebuild kits for the diffs. I have two weeks back to back where I'm working locally for work. I'm hopefully going to be able to wrench through all of this during that time

Nice. Get the tires yet? Will you be trail riding this year with the 80?

Tires are all mounted and ready to go. I plan on running some trails but will stay in the moderate class. No bumpers or winch as of now.

Still have the engine to rebuild and install the SC after all this work.

You sticking with stock diff gears?

How is that yellowbox? I hate having my miles driven rack up falsely

Does it correct the mile count?
Does timing retard with diff. gears? Haven't checked mine since first setting 7 degrees advanced awhile back.

Can you pm Me info in how you wire yours? and want model your using. I need one. Thnx

I got the engine back from the shop and managed to get the roatating assembly done today.
