My new Toyota LC 70 project

Hello!
In february 1 I bought this LC
Year 1995
Engine 3.0tdi

And so I started to fresh it up

But in this building process I have some questions !
I whant to buy Fender Flares but only what I found was for long ver!
Could you please tell me some ideas where I can get them! ?

Aftermarket flares from FRP panels in australia are probably cheaper than Toyotas

Next time I buy a 70 with F/G flares they will be going in the bin

I think I saw an aussie spec HZJ73 the other day. Like the small number of PZJ70 we got ,it had no flares.
Also had the same grill as a HZJ75.
Dont see many but they do get a mention in parts catalogs

After almost a year



I would choose rubberflairs if i did not have mine,they last longer in the woods.
The bumper is from a VX model, perhaps you can find it on scrap yard or from someone how has changed to winchbumper

I have scrapped my old bumper

If you intending to offroad your vehicle a lot, forget flares.
I have owned two KZJ70's and both of them I wrecked the flares on trees and deep trenches and they dent the vehicle in places as well.
No problem just order some new ones from toyota!, no way over a £1000 UK Pounds for a set.
Rubber is the best choice, that way will flex when you hit something.

Flender flares I will make out of kevlar it is strong matereal I will paint them and then will be new pictures!

And I am thinking about whinch! There was original mehanical whinch for my LC model? and may be you have some ideas where I can buy it?

I dont think Ljs came with a PTO Winch (like the one above) So fitting one would be extreamly hard.
Try find a good electrical winch and that will do you great!

the kallamunda toyota had a hzj 73 in there yard years and years ago ,i remember my old man going on about it cos it had the 1hz and hed only ever seen the bj and fj shortys and middys in toyota yards
and my brother was telling me the other week that up in Darwin he allways see's a diesel middy going around and has the 4.2 sticker on the back LHS rear door like some of the troopys have,so thats must be a hzj73 but very rare
