I love these things, I went in to get new wheels and tires, i couldn't decide whether to get the regular bfg mud terrain's or Toyo MT's. Turns out BFG came out with their new Mud terrain tire same tread as the Crawler but a more street-able tire. They are quieter then both the original BFG mud terrain and the Toyo's, and smoother. I am running 35/12.50/17 with no power steering and it is not too bad to turn. Let me know what you guys think of them.

That's a really modern set of wheels and tires on a vintage ride. Prefer the traditional style better. Looks like $277 a tire at NTWonline.

Looks like they will load up quicker than the Toyo's or original BFG MTs due to the close spacing on the center lugs. They also look stuffed in there pretty tight - do you have any room to flex?

I don't mind the rims- they still have a bit of a retro look to them.

The rims are polished with a light grey paint on the inside lip. I like 15 inch rims but these tires only go on 17's. I really wanted the tires so I sacrificed. The Red color I figured would look good with the more modern rim but everyone has their opinion. Shopping for wheels and tires is harder than it looks. As for the flex, I won't know for sure till I get it out on the trail but with a 4 inch skyjacker there isnt much flex with out my locker in the tire comes off the ground before it tucks under. I figure the spring over conversion will come will come here pretty quick if I can find some flatter springs.
The tires cost me $280 a piece.
Thanks for the input

They say they are supposed to clean better than the original BFG's but I guess we will see. They have only been out for 2.5 weeks

so what a bout the back space on the wheels? do they rub?

I think bling bling wheels look horrible on 40's. just being honest... nice 40.

The wheels are a 17X10. They don't rub at all. I have a 1/4 inch spacer in the front that I don't need but couldn't get them off so I left them on for the moment. They are just a polished aluminum wheel. Not Chrome, so I wouldn't call them bling bling wheels. If they were 15's they would look better but that tire only comes in a 17. Sacrifice my friends, sacrifice haha
There aren't many choices for the older vehicles with the hubs, I don't like white spokes and I don't like black spokes, that kinda leaves me with these unless I wanted to go with a cheap chrome 8 hole wheel like most people go with. I wanted a more modern look to the vintage landcruiser and the main thing was the new mud terrains.

I think they look good on it. Do what you want to you Landcruiser, its yours. What matters is your a driving a landcruiser and not a jeep. The BFG MT KM last a long time. I have them on both my silverado and FJ40. I am just now needing new tires on my silverado and they have some 40,000 miles on them. Rotate them every other oil change. 285/75 on my silverado and 35's on my FJ40. Hope the new KM2 last as long. Nice FJ40! wish they had the 285/75 R16 out.. I need new ones
