I traded my 85 MR2 for this 84 Land Cruiser. Needs some TLC, but she should shake down pretty good. Looking at possibly swapping a Weber 38/38 carb and maybe a sprung over lift. Not sure what's common with these, I've had toyota pickups, 4runners and Tacomas, but never a cruiser... Should be a fun adventure! First step is to take care of that massive oil leak... And there's vacuum problems, and then probably replace the carb. 225,000+ miles, and she's barely broken in.

Congrats on the new rig, I like it.

Search for info on carbs. It's actually really hard to beat the original Asin (if that's what you have). I had mine rebuilt by Mark of Marks off-road (another search) and it made an incredible difference in the way it drives. You can certainly rebuild it yourself as well.

Good luck!

Hey Tanner! Not sure if you'll remember me or not from Rexburg. I was the guy with the brown FJ60, I think you had your 4runner at the time... Welcome to the world of Cruisers!

yeah! I totally remember. That 4runner is long gone... but I've got my Tacoma and this beast now... Should be a fun project! We'll see where I go with it...

nice! well if you've got any questions feel free to pick my brain. mud is a great place to learn!
