Chris, it's not leaking. Seems in pretty good shape. $100 for new NAPA or $150 for OEM. Plus all would have to be ordered.
I have an OEM gasket due Fri. I'm reusing this WP. Probably swap it out next year after Feb when I take it down again and finish some 'unfinished bidness'!
I'll "fix" the studs and get the block surface ready and back to the upper 'stuff'.
More progress due thru the weekend. Maybe even...

Forward yes! More or less. I'm not hopeful of having this rig available for Mcgrew at this point. Must plan/pack for Weds-Sat camping/family reunion at Trinity Lake in the other LC. Tomorrow I'm having the AC system evac'd to see if it'll hold.
I should, however, have the "transport to and from only on service roads" use of Erine(her's) to get me to Sourdough.
I may not run the trail but I'll be in camp none the less.

The 'old' water pump is on and torqued.
Haven't touched the ole' beast for days since I striped the bolt hole in the plenum for the throttle body. Not in a bad place if you have to strip one.
Have a HeliCoil kit when the time comes.
Been fussin with the AC on Ernie the last few days. Heading to Trinity Lake for family reunion thru the weekend. Hot air with cool water.
New OEM TBI gsk ordered. I'll pick it up Monday and slap that puppy on.
I see some tranny cooler hoses down below I "prolly" should try to replace...while I'm there.

the 3fe wp is 10 times harder I think than the 4.5L. Really, a piece of cake as far as any other wp I've ever installed.
I'll be there. Not sure what ride I'll be driving.

not too productive after work...especially after hearing from the hand brake that Ernie has a 6" crack in the lower rh corner of the windshield that appeared out of nowhere and a smell of coolant that I can't find. We'll let that one develop but the crack is rather distressing.
did manage to mount the battery box and battery. not hooked up yet but mounted.
major productivity or even completion is anticipated for the morrow.

ya right. I know.
I don't even remember taking off that many.
back together is only half the battle. now comes the shakedown. it's been months collecting cobwebs and storage items. there's a lot to look over, put away and pack. I'm off till tues so that's a plus.

Running yes.
The big deal now is making sure my cables are adjusted properly. Didn't get them back on quite as they came off.
Still...the path forward is clear and I'm a bit relieved I'm able to pull 'a rabbit out of a hat'.
I'm no mechanic. I just play one in my driveway.
