Here's what I just finished.

Rock Warrior Wheels
Falken AT3W 285/70-16"
BORA 1 1/4" Spacers
AirLift Bags in the rear.
TB adjustment

The tires stick out farther than I'd like. They stick out the same width as the spacers, about 1 1/4".

Nice looking rig. Surely you have the illness. You're probably not going to stop until.........well, ever.

Yeah, look at the shock. Those need replacing and...

Luckily I'm done spending money on my Jeep, so the LC is going to get all of the attention.

I put the air bag valves on the side of the hitch mount. I put them on side, so I have access to the valves after I have loaded my trailer hitch rack/basket.

I was in Papua New Guinea with my two brothers years ago... and, well, had a few issues with the first hire car, a Toyota Hilux, so they replaced it with a temporary Hilux... with standard road tyres, which... well, I only noticed as the car lost control and starting sliding, ever so slowly, to the embankment on the side of the path we were on.

I applied a bit of power and tried to correct it, then some more power, gave up that idea pretty quickly, braked, braked, nothing helped, then CRUNCH.... we hit the bank and stopped.
I got out, ran around to have a look, and, I reckon purely because the tyres WERE sticking out, they had taken all the impact. :)

NO damage whatsover to the rest of the vehicle, just two very scratched and scuffed (rental) tyres.

Fortunately, about 5 minutes later a guy pulls up in a ute with a couple of locals, and had us towed back onto the "road", so we could turn around and head right back to civilisation and some decent tyres...

Quite a coincidence that the guy who stopped to help, out in the middle of PNG southern provence, was also a Tasmanian, working there running a huge cattle station....

So I guess having the tyres stick out a little could be seen as a plus... :)
Probably also gives it a little better stability.

Looks great, I'm going to be doing the same thing to mine hopefully soon, unfortunately my 40 keeps taking all my money! :crybaby: However I just got a set of RW wheels for free. So at this point I'm just trying to decide on tire size, I know I'm going to put a small lift on it in the future but I would love to upgrade wheels and tires before that. Do you think your wheels and tires would have fit without any lift??

Thanks Josh

I think they'd fit fine. I have no rubbing up front on DD driving (no offroading yet). I only lifted to keep the wheel well space the same after adding the slightly bigger tires.

Thanks for the reply. BTW what color did you use of your wheels
