I have myself that kind of hose for my BJ42 P/S. It seems well stable and move (tense) no at all when I turn the wheels.





... but you have sowed doubt in my mind. :(


EDIT : I fully understand what you say and that's probably a wise remark ... but what is the difference between this (our) hose(s) and the fully flexible hoses found on tractors and other heavy equipment?

Nothing really,but they would have taken the time to make sure they will not rub on anything,but they still do get wear holes in them. I use to drive a forklift that had to have hoses replaced because of this.
I think his previous hose got a hole in it from rubbing on the alternator.
I still prefer Toyotas method of using metal lines where possible
 
It's not anymore. It need a little more tweaking that's it :D

All working like a charm, and not rubbing anything.

The old hose had a pressure point because it was rubbing on the return line lol it's better this way.

It's not esthetic though.
 
Soooo does it run now and back to your house?
