Slee tube sliders.

Finally had a chance to bolt these on today. So simple that even a city slicker like me could do it. ;)

Only had a little problem with clearance on the DS third mount. Kinda tight with the brake lines in that area. Other than that real simple.

(plus I had Bull's build-up as reference  )

They fit great and who needs front mud flaps?

Schweeeeeet dude, those looks great!

Might rethink the mudflaps though ...... you could chew up your lower doors with rocks etc real quick I would think.

Do they seem like grip tape on the top tube would be needed to keep from slipping or is there some texture there?

"My final mod for this year... "

 It's only March... I wouldn't bet on it. :flipoff2:

You'll want some grip tape. I have the FJ62 model of those sliders and they were super slippery when wet. I got some grip tape at a skateboard shop and it's holding up just fine after two years...

See?

So much for the "last mod of the year"

Mac...lookin' great! Hopefully with the ever growing number of modded 100's the suspension industry will respond with more lift, etc., ptions!!!

To quote Paris, "That's Hot!"

!

Thanks and thanks for the compliments!

The mud flaps would need quite a bit of cutting to get them to fit around the slider. Not sure if it's worth it. The skateboard deck tape sounds like a great idea, at least on the Missus' side.... :princess:

It's only March Mot, but Mrs. Mac has dropped the hammer!

Mac, I know all about the hammer! I have one here as well. The sliders look sweet, also cool with the rear bumper in black. Look forward to seeing it "live" at CMCC this year.

I'll def see you at CMCC again this year! It's one of the few events I can hit hassle free... I missed GCLC's last wheel and meet although I'm looking into a OK4WD ride coming up, you should hit that!

The front bumper being aluminum is feeling a bit odd now...

This is also what I did on the 80's slider tubes. Cut them into thin strips for the tops of the tubes. Works great at preventing slippage. One caveat: my wife REALLY cut up the backs of her legs when she slipped down out of the truck one day and scraped that skateboard tape all the way down. This was one of the first NorCal Wagon trips to, I think, Wentworth Springs (remember guys?) and she hasn't been on too many trips since...

That's one reason I grabbed Christo's last pair of removable step sliders for the 100 (needed a REAL step...)!

So what is the difference between the step-slider and the ones you have? Looks to me like you can use it to step into the vehicle, and is used that way from the replies I’ve read.

The truck looks great!

Are you talking about the aluminum finish? powdercoat/paint?

Tight Ride Mac!

:) That's ride of yours is looking tight! Nice! Hey Mac we have meet up one day if you're ok with that.....love to chat about these Landcruisers and get some heplful tips from you. Ok?

Looks great. Already looked great, but looks better now. :D

Hmmm, no more mods for the rest of the year. Yeah, I'll go along with that one for at least a month or so.

My steps actually bolt to the slider rail, and can be removed by unbolting three bolts per side. This was Christo's original design. Gives me some options, but the main thing is that it's a nice big step for my wife (that I can remove if I feel like it).

Did Christo change his step design to a one piece unit, or is it still a removable step?
