My car is stuck on drive and the gear shifter is loose. Please help! (4 Viewers)

Hello all

I have a 2009 LC200 with a 4.7 V8, done about 170k km. When shifting from drive to reverse in the parking lot I heard a thud and the car is just stuck on drive. I cannot change the gears to anything other than S. I turned off the car and it won't turn back on because it's on drive.

I asked a few mechanics around and they said it's likely the "shifter cable". There's not much about this online either so any help will be appreciated. Thanks all!

Also is there a way I can engage neutral so I can at least push the car out of my basement?

I started up the 200 this am, and it won't get out of park, with brake depressed.

I popped the manual override and depressed, still nothing.

Checked taillamps, and they're fine.

Found two fuse blocks under the hood, checked one (brake?) in larger block, and was fine - a 7.5.

Thoughts?
