I've been thinking on this forever but the time has come to let my beloved 80 series go. The truck has a long thread here and I will post the link. It is an awesome truck but needs a new home to get it and keep it tip top. It will go across the county, wheel hard, and bring you home without issue still. That is why I love this truck so much. It is the ONLY Cruiser out of many that I have and have had that can do this. I just have too many (boo hoo) and it isn't getting the love it deserves. I will build another 80 but not just yet. I will have tons of pictures to come and please understand it needs love but it has almost every mod you could want on an 80, so if you are short of funds but have time, this is the ultimate truck. MUD price is $11,000
I am praying for a great home for it.

Thanks!

I am headed for bed soon so will add more tomorrow. Has a really long, long list of mods.

Down side: needs some body repair, ie some dents and some rust. Is NOT a rusted pos by any means.

Just posting to our group for now

304,000
HG done as PM a couple years ago with arp studs and complete baseline Never overheated.

Big list of mods coming

I will start now. Too nice out to go to bed

4" lift with Slee springs
Adjustable panhards
Leveled rear panhard
Sway bar drops
Extended lower rear control arms
Custom driveshafts, front DC shaft
4.88 gears
Factory e lockers
RCV chromoly front axles
Rear locker axle mod for removal if twisted
Low mileage front and rear axle/bearing redo
Low mileage toyota reman calipers, rotors
Extended toyota brake lines
Low mileage steering parts replacement

Much more. Will add soon

This won't last long...

Front and rear bumpers custom built by a mystery shop down south (possibly Frankie's Off Road) by PO. Very stout and well built. I did extensive mods to the front when I got the truck to improve the lines of it though (IMO). Bowfin rack (obviously lol), rear roller kit on the rack, Bowfin Cruisers rock sliders - very stout, Slee skid plate, Slee locker actuator guard, Toyota reman calipers, newer extended brake hoses, Superwinch front winch (needs new solenoid and could use relocation to keep it dry- I believe I have one somewhere and will include if I can find it), Alpine double din head unit with amp, Alpine speakers, and sub. BFG KM3 tires 315/75R-16 with about 60% tread. CX Racing header and custom 3" exhaust (needs some love but am trying to get that handled). Custom sub tank set up with factory dual filler neck and transfer pump system. Currently the pump is dead (Holley Blue racing pump) but otherwise it will give a near 500 mile range (17 additional gallons). DEPO headlights, Custom B3hd grille badge and cup holders.

I will think of more

The bad stuff

Rear lower gate is crunched. Still works and hides behind the bumper but it is crunched.

Rust areas are the spots in front of the rear wheels. Not terrible but need metal work repair or live with it. The hood has had rust in the nose since I fount the truck in MO. I run a strip of grip tape across the front and ignore it.

I have have issues with the sunroof leaking for a long time. It really just needs to be sealed off.

The seats need to be redone and the adjuster gears are stripped. (Tim at Gamaviti makes new gears.)

Steering wheel and shifter cover leathers are shot.

Right front flare is primered, and needs painting. Also missing the mud flap there. I have a quart of base coat to go with the truck if you want it.

Dings, chips and scratches on the truck but it still responds well to a good wax and clean up. No major paint peel/fade like western/southern trucks.

304,000 miles. I did the head gasket as PM a few years ago and did every single hose and cooling part then too. The cross hatch on the cylinders was perfect. I put in ARP head studs at the time as well. The downer is that the shop that did the head used non-toyota valve seals that lasted about 30,000 miles and it will smoke on start up and if it has been idling for a long time. Very frustrating because if they had gotten this one small important detail right it would have been awesome. I won't name names (More Power Inc) though.
You can run another 100,000 miles and not need to replace the seals but it will give that little puff of smoke on start up.

Probably halfway to needing a front axle rebuild so some time there

Brakes were all replaced with calipers and rotors but it is close to due for new pads. Should be all it needs though, stops smooth

My wife will probably kill me buttttt

How comfortable would it be as a daily, and does it have a 3rd row?

Does have 3 row seats. It was my daily for years. I like driving it better than my Tundra. That said it is kind of wonderfully loud and obnoxious. It handles amazing on pavement and has a lot of power for an 80 because of the 4.88 gears, header and 3" exhaust system.

I’d love to come up and see it today or tomorrow.

I'll be around this afternoon/evening and should be around tomorrow

Bottom and engine pics. I blasted and painted the bottom a couple of years ago and it is getting less awesome. Never been Michigan crusty though. Truck came from Missouri originally

Taking my mom for a ride in Moab for her 80th birthday lol

Black Bear "steps" a few years ago. Video is terrible, and a bit tedious but still good look at Teluride lol
