My antenna has an erection...

Sorry if this has been discussed. I searched but couldn't find anything specific. I was sitting in my '04 Hundy when the antenna suddenly powered up and went aloft. The radio was off. Now it won't power down. I can manually run it down to its minimum lift with the dash switch, but if I swap to CD, Tape and power off altogether, nada. It stays put. Anyone experienced this issue?

Yep, been there. Replace motor.

Okay, but I'm confused. The motor works fine driving the antenna up and down. What doesn't seem to work is the remote power that actuates the antenna when the radio switches on/off. With the car idling, and the radio off, the antenna just came to life and sprouted. The manual height adjustment still operates normally. When I shut the car off altogether, the antenna returned to its parked position.

Are you suggesting that "the motor" is a complete unit inclusive of power circuits? Just trying to determine what exactly needs to be replaced.
