well i did much trouble shooting this weekend and i am no closer than i was last week. things i did find out are.
1. i have spark, pulled a plug out on each side of the engne and checked.
2. i have fuel, i had my boy crank it over while i watched shoot into the TB
3. i did the codes reader and got nothin but normal...
4. i do not have much patience right now, and less time, hahaha
5. my fear is for some reason it jumped time or something worse.

so the question is is there like a traveling mech in ventrua area that can come over and help me sort this out, i just lack the time and skill right now to figure this out.

thanks again

cheers
chappy

Howdy! Obviously, the engine is turning over, so is it trying to fire at all? What happened when it quit running? What all have you done, like tune ups, etc? John

it died just died , i was going to work first thing in the am, and it just died. no warning at all. not a cough or anything. i bought this rig this spring , drove to rubicon (500miles) and been driving back and forth to work for nearly 2-3 months and never a issue. tune ups, nothing yet, just driving it and i do watch the milage closely to check for drama but nothing really.

oil, serious??? not knocking but does that happen sometime??

PM sent.

Out of curiosity, what does it do if you crack the throttle a bit while cranking?
My '91 TBI Sub recently had the Idle Air Controller (IAC) go out and it would not start unless I held the throttle open a tiny bit.

Howdy! Actually, I was thinking close to this. It could be the oil pressure sender/relay. Both my 89 Sub and my 91 Camero had it so if the engine stopped suddenly, like a wreck, it shut off the fuel pump, even though the ignition is still turned on. Kinda makes sense. We did have to replace one of the relays. But, he says he can see fuel in the TBI, so .......bad guess. John

i went a step futher than that, i even put a screw driver down TBI to hold the butterflys open a bit. and nothing
