finally got around to dropping the transmission on my wifes 2001 sequoia.i figured i could save some money by doing most of the labor.let me back up a little .i was driving home one day when the sequoia just stop moving i mean i felt like i was in neutral.so i pulled over and stop.put the shifter back in park than drive and she just wouldnt move .all i could here is a whinning sound.even when i put her back in park.so where was i ,any how so i took the tranny to a local transmission shop for the rebuild, i figure around 500-1000 dollars...was i wrong the guy called me a few days later telling me that it was gonna cost $2695.00.I WAS IN SHOCK.he told me that the overdrive was f'd up.
so i starting to do some online shopping and found one on craigslist but it was off a 2002 tundra.i wounder if that will fit.its a 2wd just like mine and with low miles.can anyone help me?

i was wondering what the sticker on top of the transmission with the numbers 35010, 34170 are for ...i called the guy with the 2002 tundra and his numbers match with the 35010.but the other number is 34210...i would hate to drive 4hrs and not work with mine.by the way hes asking 400.00 has 68k...

I've have the factory service manual on my work computer. monday i'll look and post the tansmission numbers.

thanks for the help,i located one here locally for $1150.00,i have a questin about the cooling lines?do i need to flush them before installing the tranny?
