We were talking about good bands around the fire last weekend and I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread to continue the conversation.

That's a good time. Probably the "tamest" festival during my tenure at Appalachian State. North wilkesboro used to have a NASCAR track which was a ton of fun

Goat Rodeo Sessions is pretty tight.

For those on the Spotify I have started a playlist called DLC. If I can figure out how to allow others to add then we can have a big playlist to pull from.

The Alabama Shakes were saturday night live they are pretty kick a**

Threw some stuff up on the spotify collab list. Good idea Matt!

To get added to the list goes get the Spotify and find me. I'll add you then we'll have a true DLC play list.

Just so I get this straight...
You want the whole world to know that you walk around with a tiny tin foil hat and discover a new government conspiracy several times a day but you draw the line at keeping your taste in music private?

^^^^^

That right there was funny but to answer your question you don't have to link it to Facebook or at least you didn't in the past. It's under preferences and you should be able to disconnect from Facebook.

but really i dont like facebook apps. that whole "sometimes we will post stuff for you" thing rubs me the wrong way.

at any rate I am signed up now... and going through where it says "local files" is that public?? and where are they getting all this stuff from, i dont have 1/10 of it on my computer the other 1/2 i dont think i have ever heard of

last I found Matt, but I cant see his playlist?

Spotify is not a FB app it is a stand alone app that FB has connected with. This isn't going to make anything better but it's from the UK. It's a streaming service where artist upload their music to and get paid some nominal fee based upon the number of streamings. What sucks is when a band you like gets a "major" label deal and their albums disappear like Two Cow Garage did to me today.

I will say that generally I will just add albums because I find I end up liking other songs also.

I actually got a chuckle out loud at that, lol. Well played.

You used to could set it up individually, but I think now it's linked no matter what. There is a way to turn off everything that could auto post anything for you, under the preferences or something. You can also turn on "private session" where it keeps everything, well, private.

Sun kil Moon sounds pretty good (kinda spacey in an acoustic way)
