Can't argue about the uniform wearing Army dorks but I wasn't one of them. The corps became optional in the 60's and I opted out. I was a non-uniform wearing dork. Uniforms came later. Those dress whites looked really cool on the recruiting posters. "Join the Navy and see the world." Seemed like a good idea at the time.
