Eric,
I heard a rumor you picked up a locked 40th anniversary lately for a steal - pray tell:flipoff2:

How DO these things get around.....?

Well, it wasnt a steal but a fair price at best by the end of negotiations (no I wont tell so dont ask :D). Its an 40th anniversay edition 80 antique sage color w/ lockers in pristine single-owner-doctor condition. I told him when I first met him in service that when he decides to sell it to call me - Ive always wanted one. He did and I bought. I then resealed the entire motor, etc, etc and put it to the "It doesnt need anything" category. :) (he already had the HG, axle seals, ++ done previously)

I want to keep it, leave it stock and be the wife's driver. She is partial to her Highlander but time will tell. The :princess: grins while :steer: it...a good sign :D.

FJ40LVR:

I heard you were buying this one with your new found ca$h....

Nope, I don't live in scottsdale, so I legally can't have rims that big:flipoff2:

My Christmas shopping was much more reasonable::grinpimp:

Wow - that is an amazingly good price for a Tacoma - a good work truck score for sure. Going to the meet Friday? Ill bring the new toy if I go.

Also, let me know about the pool route Pm question if you would.

I got a chance to check out the 40th when Eric was helping me out at the dealership a few weeks back - it looks great! Nice score for sure.

By the way, the ride home was much improved!

I took a look while it was getting detailed...nice rig. Congrats on the purchase. I'd love to put the wife in an 80 again (I took the last one and now she won't drive it)

Post up a picture already!!!

I knew about the 40th a month ago:flipoff2: Didn't tell FJ40LVR or anyone else...my bet is the leak came from inside the walls where Murf works. He wont let loose of the price because he is likely embarressed....I heard something these old things arnt worth much anymore but I will buy you lunch!

I dont see your wife giving up the Highlander for that old slow technology.
