Guys,

Has anyone considered a multi fuel conversion for the 100? These are 6.2 and 6.5 engines with mechanical IPs (injection pumps) that can run about any fluid that will burn. The newer 6.5s can be converted to mechanical IPs.

I think if you could get 250 hp and 400 ft lbs of torque, you would be good to go and once again, run anything as a fuel, diesel, gas, kerosene, atf, etc.

More info below.

We need to get this figured out.

The conversion should be in the sub 10k range. Then you can run almost any thing as fuel.

The car and gas companies are just so far behind and I want out of their loop.

As long as you're pipe dreaming make it battery powered and solar.

Wind powered, that's where it's at;)

Cool concept, it like to see it on a better motor. I've driven the s*** out of the CUCV with the 6.2L, its a pig. Even at sub $10k, I can drive my 100 for over 2 years for that kind of scratch. And from what the disco guy saw in MPG increase, it would take 5 years to break even:meh:

But as a former 4BTA conversion owner, it's not about the money, it's about having the diesel itch:grinpimp:

Look on Aussie eBay where they sell propane (or natural gas) conversion kits for the stock 4.7
