Mt. Airy is about 2.5 hours from Raleigh, so it's a bit out of the way for you Darin. It's closer to 74/77 and 81 than anything else.
Anyone willing to mudship would need to have a trailer to transport this 40 tub. I'm sure Chris would have no problem sending some good beer or fuel $ to the person that cuts a couple of hours out of his drive
Chris, YukonLX ( parker ), custyota ( adam ) and krzyabncanuck ( darin ) are all a bit nuts

Parker brought my newest e-locked 80 rear axle from DC down to Raleigh for me, Darin is the fine gentleman I bought my new body from and we're currently in the middle of doing a 60 series PS conversion on Adam's 40 after getting it in running and driving condition last winter. There's a lot of work being done down in these parts!!
I am driving up to NY in two weeks or so, but I was planning on taking the Jetta due to fuel economy and I was going up to Albany instead of Rochester. If needed, we might be able to work something out to have me trailer the tub up to Albany and then you could pick it up from there, but I don't have a good place to store it in Albany, nor do I have a trailer

I forgot to mention that yesterday on the phone, my bad buddy!
ONSC dudes, for a bit of history, Chris and I had a marathon road trip out to CT from Rochester, NY to get this project 40 that he's been working on. The body left something to be desired, but the frame is solid and is the perfect platform to start a rockcrawling project. Chris rebuilt the 2F the winter before last and has been collecting parts to make this truck into a badass rock rig

SOA, 35-37" tires, SM420 w/ Dana 300 transfer, etc. This new tub will be the cherry on top
Let us know what you want to do Chris and we'll see if we can help
