Mt. Graham Area

Anybody familiar with the Mt. Graham area north of Willcox? I am thinking of dragging my Airstream up there sometime and camping. Any good things to do for a weekend? Fishing? Thanks, Terry

Beautiful place Terry. There is a lake up top and I believe it's stocked. Be careful if you have dogs, there are gobs of skunks up there. Keep your doors shut and food stowed.

Very cool area, I have camped there many times and always enjoyed the cool air plus the million dollar views.

Mt Graham / Pinaleno's range is full of great places from top to bottom. Fishing, yes - both streams and lakes have trout. Gila trout are in Frye Mesa as well. Technically, there are 5 species of trout on the mountain range there. Gila, brook, brown, rainbow and apache trout. Lots of nice camping on the top of the mountain under the aspens.
