For the tech- I suggest a large magnet on front bumper to attach you to the trailer bar of a semi:0 Or at least a bit of drafting.
 
The vast majority of members take their 100's off road. MPGs are just not a major part of that. Bumpers, roof rack, big tires, added weight of 2 batteries, skids, fridge, drawers, packed with gear....... Not really MPG savers. I don't get the point of removing stuff to gain 1-2 MPG's.

You think you love your 100 now, you would really love it if you took it offroad..

I'm sure you're right. We're thinking of hitting some rough two track/gas line access roads in the next few weeks. I've spent time in the Badlands 4x4 park in indiana with my Toy pickup 4wd and had a blast.
