Sold my UJZ100 to buy a 2012 GX, a truck which seemed both rugged and very luxurious. Both the hundy and the GX were regular Baja traverlers. Had the GX for 2 years of pleasure, not a single hiccup and only regular oil changes and tires.

Just traded the GX on a 2013 LX. I can't get over how much more everything this truck is than the GX.

One question I have, there is a 'warning' screen everytime I shift into reverse, which must be dismissed before the camera function toggles on. Is there a setting by which I can disable it? it didn't exist on the GX...

Looking forward to putting 275/60/20 Geolanders on this baby. Next Baja trip not til January '18

Welcome! I have a 13' lx. There are multiple options for what "lines" it makes on the screen when the rear camera is activated. One of those throws a warning, just try another one by pressing the button in the corner when the camera is active.

Beautiful rig! Congrats, and I love the color.

Nice rig, congrats, they are more than a GX or 4runner, not even in the same league......enjoy

Yah. Last time I had this level of rising exhilaration was my first Alfa Romeo.

I do love the grey pearl. Looks nice and you don't see it that much. Especially after 2 white LCs and the white GX.

I'll be doing the 3rd row remove in a couple weeks. Any cargo liner that pretty much fits the whole area seats removed?

Nice drawer system.

No, we travel with 4 dogs, and a couple of them are pretty big. Headroom is important unless I'm ok with drool on the ceiling, and I don't think I am.

Nice Drawers indeed,,,,,,Dobinsons? not very familiar with them, is that where most are acquiring theirs?

It's "Dobinson's" which look incredibly similar to the more commonly installed unit--ARB's Outback Solutions drawers.

I haven't seen the Dobinson's in person, but they seem basically identical to Outback Solutions before they became a part of ARB.
I think they're a little less expensive than ARBs too...

Beautiful Rig. Big step up from the GX I imagine. The bigger vehicle always feels better. I noticed your from Flagstaff. My wife and I used to visit Flagstaff all the time when we were traveling around bicycle racing and we love it there, our home away from home. We got married in Sedona but almost changed it the night before because the manager of the Monte Vista wanted to marry us there. We partied all night with him and thanked him but our plans were already set. That Monte Vista is the coolest hotel. Good Luck with the truck and watch out for the trains.

Mike Mooradian you sound familiar..

Yes Flagstaff is a great town. And the trains are no joke, ~95 a day.

One of the things I'm finding out about the LX, which I suspected but am now confirming, is that it gets pretty close to the same fuel mileage as the GX. I averaged about 15 in the GX, and it always seemed to be working pretty hard.. I always thought that the 5.7 might be a little less stressed and over the course of the time I've had it it seems to be confirming my suspicions. ~15 mpg and must more relaxed.

Congrats Shafty! If I could have found a good clean used LC/LX, I would have snapped it up. Yours looks great. Hey, if you find a full coverage rear mat that fits and looks great with the seats removed, let us know. I'm looking for the same thing here.
