Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Literally my dream color/interior combo.

Why has it been sitting for almost 4 months when it's a 1 owner?

I think the miles are a bit high for the year for sure. Is this color really that much of a deterrent to people?

Great color. Lexus makes a similar (the same?) color - Claret Mica. I've seen it on the 3rd gen RX, GX460, and LX570 though not sure of the exact years it was offered on the LX.

What’s this I hear about being able to depreciate 100% of purchase in first year now through 179…I may smell another truck.

There are plenty of clean 03-05 for $10k-15k with ~200k. I'd agree that the 4sp ones are mainly what you see under 10k. I've never seen a decent 06-07 for that price.

I feel 25k with "The Bad: Paint fading on roof" is on the high side.

Yep, mileage seems fine to me. These are meant to be driven, my 17 had 113k when I bought it a few months ago.
That seems like a really good deal honestly. Needs a good through cleaning and a new steering wheel (like all pre 18's)

No attachment to this, but if it isn't a scam (doesn't seem to be from the ad), someone here needs to scoop it up pronto!
Took the feedback and lowered price to $23K. Seems like that is a fair price given a roof repaint is ~$1K. Perhaps I am asking too much for pristine maintenance, LOL?

If it’s clean, those are highway miles (probably) and they bring the price back to reality a bit ($35kish?) it could be a really solid buy. That color is so sick and rare.

Happy hunting.

Edit: that silver LX above is nuts. What am I missing on that?

If they take 35-36 OTD i'd buy the damn thing lol

I reached out to the dealership about getting some undercarriage photos of that 2017 thats been sitting for almost 4 months.

What the actual hell? I see why no one wants to buy it. I detail cars on the side and there's no way in hell i let this go on a lot to get sold.

It looks like super old mud. Frame itself looks ok but im not optimistic.

Yeah the frame might be totally fine but impossible to tell when it’s caked up like that. You’d think they’d wash it…

For a dealership thats selling a vehicle for 40k thats been sitting on their lot for 3 months' you'd think they'd pressure wash the damn thing.

Idk, i like the rig, the color, the interior, the fact that it's a 1 owner (all my vehicles are previously 1 owner), but fock, something about it not even been washed after all this time really annoys me.

Maybe call the dealer and tell them you have some interest but you need the undercarriage cleaned and you want to see detailed pictures/videos with the car on a lift and showing KDSS, hitch, spare, etc. and any other known problem spots for rust.

They may tell you to pound sand but if the car has been sitting for 4 months who knows?

i texted the general manager and the sales rep and they dont seem to want to play ball.

In any event, i suppose this means the market for these are coming down and i'll just have to be patient and wait for something locally lol.

Probably smart. I bought one a few months ago so basically guaranteed that the market tanks now :)

s***, the only reason i havent bought one yet is because im looking for Brandywine/Blue Onxy/Magnetic Grey w/ black interior exclusively lol.

not too many Brandywines for sale stateside, only like 4 or 5 in the entire country at the moment and 2-3 have that brown interior lol

Hey folks, looking to purchase an LC out of state, does anyone know how much would it cost to repair a dent on the A pillar (picture attached)?

It looks like the previous owner left the dent unrepaired and I see some rust on it, wondering if it’ll be a headache to deal with since it’s on a pillar

Hard to know how bad the rust is but I'm sure there is more under the paint.

Someone with more knowledge can chime in, but that seems like a bodyshop visit to get the rust completely remediated and then the pillar repainted. Cost will vary but probably 4 figures?

Maybe I'm off base.

What is year, mileage, cost, etc.?

Thank you for the input! The dealer is claiming a few hundred which sounds a bit too optimistic. Car otherwise seems decently priced? ~70k miles for 55k for a 2016.

Wdyt about the rust level? Looks like surface level but I have little experience with rust

Yeah a few hundred bucks seems light if you are trying to properly fix the issue. I'm not sure how you do that without some level of repainting given the size of the rust spot but again I'm not an expert. It's also hard to tell exactly how rusty it is from the picture.

It's a shame as this is one of those situations where some touchup paint after noticing the gash probably stops rust from forming. Instead the previous owner ignored it, likely for a few years, and now it's a headache.

Underbody rust looks pretty good to me. Exhaust is crusty in the places you'd expect but I wouldn't worry about that too much. Some other spots that like to rust are the hitch receiver and the spare tire mechanism (would need to drop the spare to inspect that). Surface rust on the frame can be wire wheeled and painted.

What state is it from?

Someone got a smoking deal here. Was listed late yesterday and already sold. (I called this morning to inquire) 2018, black on terra, 1 owner, clean records and service history, 38k miles, asking $67k

Very good deal. Should have been $70k+

I picked a late 2018 nebula grey/black interior LX570 with 37k miles today for $55,500 from a Mercedes dealership. I have been looking for a good low mileage example with a pretty strict criteria for a while.

This thing ended up checking all the boxes and I would have happily paid a decent bit more for it. Factory paint, clean Carfax, zero rust, dealer maintained and fully loaded other than the cool box and screens. So if you’re willing to be patient, decent deals even at franchise dealerships pop up

The car will require a bit of sweat equity though. There are an almost unbelievable amount of door dings for its mileage (nothing $500 in PDR can’t fix) and judging by the state of the interior, it was driven by a man or woman (definitely most likely a woman) that loved to wear lots of lotion and drink coffee with the lid off. The wheels are surprisingly mint lol. I’m honestly surprised the dealership put it on the lot as is, but I’m really happy with their decision. No irreversible bs touch ups and interior spraying to get it lot ready here.

This weekend will consist of slathering down the interior with leatherique, removing the shifter console to clean out all the dried coffee and getting the pdr guy over to pop out the door dings. After that it’s off to the detailer for a polish and ceramic coating and then finally we’re going to surprise my dad with it next weekend.

I remember reading this thread in the past and others had mentioned great deals from Mercedes dealerships. Makes sense to me especially now. Anyone dumb enough to trade in one of these things for a hot pile of German doo doo was probably dumb enough to sell it for less than what it was worth. The MB dealerships in turn are happy to cut them loose for a couple grand in profit.

2019 LC 58k - $72k at auction. One owner southern truck, pristine interior, clean carfax, service every 5k at Toyota dealership, no screens, good tires, recent service with coolant flush, new battery, etc. Only issue I see thus far are some nics on the hood that I may or may not deal with. I think that made the score 4.7 of 5 (see below) instead of a 4.9 on the auction condition scale.

I have a source where a dealer charges me a flat fee when he goes to auction to buy for me regardless of what he buys or what it costs - so my cost is auction price + fee. Bidding started at $68,500 and multiple dealers (including several Toyota dealerships) placed bids. We tried to buy it before the auction before it was sent through the line but the seller declined (understandable). I was hoping for under $70k, but that didn't happen...

Extremely few late model 200s make it to auction. Below are the other results and what we used to set our authority.

FWIW, I am told that the 250s are not sought after at all. There were five (5!) with less than 1k on the odometer in the auction. I can't understand that - but apparently buyers are returning them and dealers do not want to retain them for resale. That has to be because they are getting new ones on their lots they aren't moving quickly enough. There is still serious demand for 200s (and probably more than a year ago when there was excitement about 250s).

As always, YMMV.
