Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

I agree. I found the price to be super fair and made me feel even better honestly. Granted it ended up probably being easy for them, but after transport, a few hours back and forth with some payoff issues to get the title. I doubt they had any other expense in it, but a decent amount of work to net 6-8k imo.

Point being I wouldn’t have been surprised to see them ask for more. It’s a meaningless compassion but that’s roughly what I paid OTD over a year ago. Maybe they did need some quick cash infusion to offset the ones they have to hold to where they want to be.

You did it right man. Hard to put a price on convenience and piece of mind. Especially considering they barely marked it up for retail. Nice execution.

I overpaid from a dealership because it was local and I could touch and see it myself. Sometimes getting/saving that extra few thousand isn’t worth the heartburn.

Don’t mean to get off topic from 200 Series sales prices but yes, they are pretty easy to come by, at least in my neck of the woods. I’m talking go to the dealership and get one today if you’re so inclined.
Yep. Plenty OTs available and/or inbound to arrive in a matter of weeks. All at MSRP and I have seen at least one dealer discounting $3k to $5k from MSRP. There are of course the ass... marking up, but I doubt they are selling anything.

Is the LX vs. LC price gap getting wider or has it always been this big? Pre-16 LXs in good shape can be found for ~$30k, equivalent LCs are seemingly all listed at $40k+.

It's been a $10k+ gap for basically as long as I've been following the market closely (last 2 years or so).

There are a lot more LXs in circulation because Toyota sold a lot more of them. LCs are just harder to come by and there is also a premium placed on the "Land Cruiser" nameplate, rightly or wrongly.

Where are 06-07 100s with around 200k miles listed for 10k cheaper? They seem to go for 18-22k, and there are a few listed in the classified for 25k with mods and still 150k+ miles. Granted, if it isn't selling, then it's overpriced, but I don't think it's far off. I had a higher mileage 07 that was NOT cheaper than a 200 to maintain. The timing belt, water pump, and insanely expensive brake booster come to mind. Not to mention the 3URFE gets slightly better mileage with more horsepower.

I'd argue the only cheap 100 series are pre-5 speed, which need a significant amount of money and time invested into a baseline, or they are rust buckets. Pricing is also heavily dependent on your local area... Anyways, just spitballing...
An '06 LC with 178k just sold today on C&B for $14,000. It seems to be in reasonable shape although as one commenter pointed out, it was a weird auction without a lot of user or seller engagement. I don't follow the 100 market so I don't know if that's typical, but it's a data point.

I think a lot of it has to do with LC just looking nicer too. I've mentioned it in other threads (maybe this one too) but the Predator mouth grill is just too much. I'm in the market for an LS460 rather than a LS500 strictly because they are "subdued" in comparison to the new models.

I think the Predator actually looks better than most of the Lexus front ends. They call it the "Spindle" but I just see a predator mouth. Like you, I could never bring myself to buy one. The new G550 may be the first one I've actually considered, but I still think it would be a massive downgrade from a LC200.

once you get to post 16+ LX/LC200 they are coming much closer together.

But the 08-15s? They'll probs always have the gap.

Most dont care for all the dodads, most dont like the look (if im paying 40-50k for a rig i need to love how it looks outside lol)

AHC is super dope, and i wish it came on the LC200, it's probs not because i believe no one would buy an LX by comparison lol

Going tomorrow to scope out a 2019 LX570 Atomic Silver with black interior, all packages. It's a Lexus CPO, one owner, all service documented at the same dealer it's being sold at. 56k miles and asking is 62k. It does have a minor accident reported to the side ( no other info on that). Looking to get a pulse check on the asking price/see what others think about aiming for. It's pretty much the only one for sale nearby (within 200 mi) that's similar year/mileage. Price seems fair to me, maybe slightly on the high side, but lexus CPO adds some value in my opinion. Dream combo would be Nori Green with the peanut butter interior, but the wait to find one of those could be quite a while. This color combo would be high on my list, really like the atomic silver.

I’d say slightly overpriced given the accident history. But not terribly so.

If the Carfax was clean this would be priced to move imo.

Literally my dream color/interior combo.

Why has it been sitting for almost 4 months when it's a 1 owner?

I think the miles are a bit high for the year for sure. Is this color really that much of a deterrent to people?

I love the red too.

Ton of miles for a 2017. That is scaring people away and this is probably overpriced.

its 15k/year which is the average

dude bought this thing and drove it.

My only concern is if it's crusty underneath. lol. Where i live in SC there's no rust issues whatsoever.

There are plenty of clean 03-05 for $10k-15k with ~200k. I'd agree that the 4sp ones are mainly what you see under 10k. I've never seen a decent 06-07 for that price.
FWIW, I posted my '08 LC for sale at $25K and would appreciate the group's feedback on the price given its age, condition, and mods. I replaced this one with a 2019 model.

I feel 25k with "The Bad: Paint fading on roof" is on the high side.

Yep, mileage seems fine to me. These are meant to be driven, my 17 had 113k when I bought it a few months ago.
That seems like a really good deal honestly. Needs a good through cleaning and a new steering wheel (like all pre 18's)

No attachment to this, but if it isn't a scam (doesn't seem to be from the ad), someone here needs to scoop it up pronto!

Eh it’s closer to 20k a year over 8 years which is definitely on the high side. I have no problem with the owner’s driving habits but they want $40k for a truck with 160,000 miles and it’s pre 2018 updates. I don’t see it.

May be crusty. Even in southern states (outside of the desert) cars will rust after that kind of driving and time if no preventative measures were taken. In my limited experience at least.

Yeahhh i think it's def a little high. taking it from 40 to 39.5 aint exactly screaming we want to sell it.

Yeahh i sent a message on it. If it isnt rusty i think i'd be willing to buy but not at their price lol.

If it’s clean, those are highway miles (probably) and they bring the price back to reality a bit ($35kish?) it could be a really solid buy. That color is so sick and rare.

Happy hunting.

Edit: that silver LX above is nuts. What am I missing on that?
