Bad news, I just spoke to the ranger station for the Morrison and the trail is closed. There is a house sized boulder on the trail and things keep sliding is what I was told. So the trail ride this weekend is not going to be what we planned.
A few options:
1. A different trail
2. We run from Beartooth pass to the top of the switchbacks, an out and back run... I'd have to verify that was still possible and the trail is still open to the gate at the top of the switchbacks.
3. Saturday BBQ and a local run somewhere.

What do you think??

Blue Lake south of Big Timber has been suggested as a option. Anyone ever been there? Any interest?

BLUE lake is a nice trail, it's a nice moderate trail, the ghost town on the way is fun as well, I Morrison is open to the switch backs it's a fun trip as well, if no one has been in which is hard to believe if its open, you will need a chainsaw on the way in. The blue lake trail has a nice shortcut from south of Livingston to McLoud. Get rid of some of the freeway.
