Morocco Trip report

Hi,

I am from France and I would share with you an adventure in Marocco (May 2003) with Toyota HZJ105 (rent in Morocco - diesel engine)

I went for several times in North Africa for 4WD expeditions (Morocco, Tunisia, Libya), since few years, with Toyota HDJ80, LandRover110, LandRoverTD5, and last year with a rental Toyota HZJ105.

You will see some pictures of this off-road expedition, in the south of Morroco, with beautiful landscape. During one week, we didn't see any other4 WD vehicles.... we were alone...in this fabulous desert !

If you want more details about this expedition and complete comments , follow the link : http://francois.leroux.free.fr/maroc2003.htm

With this link : http://www.gpsnav.fr.st you will see hardware and software installation for GPS navigation with GPS connected to PocketPC with Oziexplorer and digital calibrated maps. (sorry... in french !), and other trip reports in Libya and Morocco...

WOW, What an amazing trip! Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos.
I think I’d be paranoid of getting stuck in the middle of nowhere up to the axels in sand.
We’ll be in Eritrea this fall and look forward to renting an HDJ80 for a little wandering.

Wow! Thats incredible! Sounds like and looks like one awesome trip. I would love to try something like that.

I spent some time traveling through Morroco. I found the place to be a slice out of past and seemed like it has never changed in a few hundred years. I still have fond memories of being there and sipping mint tea in desert. What was the hightlights of your trip? and the lowlights?
