We are going exploring today, and I'm going to try and take Mormom Emigrant Trail from 50 to 88. It says closed, but I know hre's no gate, that just means it's not plowed.

I'm not expeccting too much, (if any) snow on the road, seeing the pics from "The no snow run!"

So, if I don't post up pics or a trip report tonight, SEND HELP!!!!! LOL!!

We're back! No deep snow found, just some ice and about 2" of snow at the most.

We stopped at Jenkinson Lake to scope out some camping spots on the way, and found some right next to the lake. There were people out camping, as it was pretty warm this weekend.

We stopped off the side of Mormon Emigrant Trail where there was a flat spot up on the hill with a view and had a picnic. There's a good spot for us to camp up there with our tent-trailer too!!

We also ran into a BIG 80 series coming back down the road, I think he said he was Carl? He is a IH8MUD member.

Here's some of the pics we took.

Boy, I could get my Subaru through there...

It is sad isn't it. That road should be covered DEEP in snow by now.

At Tahoe Meadows the snow depth is only 2.5' as of Friday...normal = 15'.

This was last year at this time on Iron Moutain road. Sad, we're going to have a dry summer.

Josh,

Sounds like you guys had a great time.
Last year there was a lot of snow.
If it does not start snowing soon, we're in for a long dusty summer.

Joshua,
It was nice meeting you.

Carl

....And its actually Iron Mountain Road. Drag no snow. How far up did you drive?

We drove about 3/4 of the way before we turned around. It was so warm out, I sat on the tailgate in the shade and my wife sunbathed on a sunny stump with the dog!

Carl drove up the road further than us.

Hey Alvaro!! It was a good time.

I rememember that run last year, we made it in pretty far, and then after we turned around Doug started playing and went into the rut!!

Do you think Eagle Lakes has more snow than Iron Mtn.?

Looks like rain this week, Wed-Sun, so maybe some white stuff up the road!!!

I assume this is Carl's rig with custom cammo paint, 6" Slee lift and 35's? It is a pretty sweet ride.

Thanks again for the Kaymar bumper Carl! :D

And for the Revo's Joshua!
